Job Summary:

The Radiology / Cardiology CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role involves operating CT equipment, preparing patients for scans, ensuring high-quality imaging, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information. The technologist must adhere to safety protocols and maintain patient comfort and confidentiality throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT imaging equipment to perform diagnostic scans in radiology and cardiology settings.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for CT procedures.
• Ensure quality control and accuracy of imaging results.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to radiation protection standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret imaging needs and results.
• Document procedures and maintain patient records using electronic health systems.
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting imaging equipment.
• Follow infection control and facility policies during all procedures.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Certification as a CT Technologist or Radiologic Technologist with CT certification.
• Knowledge of radiologic and CT imaging procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to operate CT equipment and related technology proficiently.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in both radiology and cardiology imaging.
• Additional certifications in cardiology imaging modalities.
• Prior experience working in a Level IV Trauma Center or short-term acute care facility.
• Knowledge of multiple scrub color coding and dress code compliance.

Special Considerations:

• Weekend work is required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
• No on-call duties are required.
• Floating between units is not required.
• Block schedules are not required.
• Patient-to-technologist ratio expected to be 1:1.
• Parking is provided at no cost.
• Strict adherence to hospital dress code and scrub color policies.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule includes weekend shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Shifts are assigned without block schedules.
• Standard shift lengths consistent with short-term acute care facility operations.
