Job Summary:

The Radiology / Cardiology CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves preparing patients, operating CT equipment, ensuring image quality for accurate diagnosis, and collaborating with medical staff. This position requires at least one year of experience, certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The technologist must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adhere to hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Perform CT imaging procedures for radiology and cardiology patients according to protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging exams ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring proper function and image quality.
• Collaborate with radiologists and cardiologists to obtain diagnostic images.
• Document procedures accurately in the medical record system (Mediteach).
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards within the acute care hospital environment.
• Provide patient education and respond to patient questions regarding procedures.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including dress code and parking regulations.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of CT technologist experience.
• Ability to operate CT imaging equipment proficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in an acute care hospital setting.
• Familiarity with Mediteach electronic charting system.

Special Considerations:

• Must comply with hospital dress code; scrub color is flexible.
• Free parking is available for staff.
• Return to office (RTO) restrictions must be declared at time of application.
• May be required to work in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Scheduling:

• Schedule and shifts will be assigned based on hospital needs and communicated during onboarding.
• First-time technologists are accepted, with appropriate training and supervision.
